ROVE & REIGN IS LAUNCHING MINATURE PRODUCTS FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND OPEN-ENDED PLAY
Hurray! Rove & Reign is excited to announce our first posable animal figures! Fenix Fox and little Kit are ready for adventure, and Rove & Reign is ready to become the future of "child's play." THE FUTURE OF "CHILD'S PLAY"
As parents, we know how important it can be to have toys that are fun, but also educational. Therefore, we produce toys, accessories and patterns that foster new ways of learning & relating to others. These are more than just dolls! They are figures that can mimic our own movements- standing, sitting, waving, and dancing are all possible due to our safely designed internal plastic-coated wire. These hands-on toys promote discovery, inquiry, and open-ended play for children three and up. Our clothing is recommended for children five and up because dressing the dolls requires more fine motor skills.
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION
Children can interact with these bendable animals in ways that they usually cannot with your average ragdoll. With these animals, your child can create a narrative or use them to communicate a feeling or experience! This has the potential to help with language development, communication, and may even aid in social-emotional learning when playing with others.
A TOY FOR ON-THE-GO & TRAVEL
Rove & Reign animals are meant to inspire children, and we encourage kids to create environments and adventures for their new friend! We also want these animals to be assessable and fun for everyone, therefore you do not need a dollhouse to play with R&R dolls! Each large fox comes with a drawstring backpack which can fit up to eight of the large Rove & Reign animals. Each small fox comes with a small drawstring pouch. We believe this makes our posable animal figures the best toy for on-the-go exploration!
ONE INCH (1:12) SCALE MINIATURE FOR DOLLHOUSES
Although these dolls are meant to be for adventure, we understand that they may also be homebodies! Therefore, we've designed them in one inch (1:12) scale so that they can also live in your dollhouse too. Standing at 4.75" tall, the larger Fenix Fox fits well with 1:12 scale dollhouses and furniture.
HALF-INCH (1:24) SCALE MINIATURE FOR DOLLHOUSES
Standing at 3" tall, our Kit fox can be considered "child-size" in the 1" (1:12) scale. It could also be used as an "adult-sized" doll in a half-inch (1:24) scale house such as the vintage one pictured below.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE DOLLHOUSE I HAVE?
- The most popular dollhouse size is one inch or 1:12 scale
- If your dollhouse ceiling height measures approximately 8-10" you probably have a one inch or 1:12 scale house
- 1" scale: 1 inch = 1 foot (so a doll that measures 5.5" in miniature size equals 5.5' in full size), ceiling height is approximately 8-10", doorways are 6-7.5" tall, and dolls are around 4.75-6" in height.
- Half scale: 1 inch = 2 feet (so a doll that measures 3" in miniature size equals 6' in full size), ceiling height is around 4-5", doorways are 3-4" tall, and dolls are around 2.5-3" in height
- If you have a vintage dollhouse, it might be half scale, but it could also be custom.
